Isn't He Clever Competes in $100,000 Jersey Shore Stakes

Six sophomore runners compete in Saturday's Grade 3 $100,000 Jersey Shore Stakes at Monmouth Park.

This past winter, he was chasing the Triple Crown trail and competing against the likes of Bodemeister, who won the Grade 1 Arkansas Derby, was the runner-up in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, and will likely be the headliner in Monmouth Park's Grade 1 $1 million Haskell Invitational on July 29.

On Saturday, Isn't He Clever figures to have an easier time of it when he takes on five other three-year-old horses in the Grade 3 $100,000 Jersey Shore Stakes at the track. Isn't He Clever is the sole stakes winner in the field and all of the boys are looking to score their first graded stakes victory in the race.

On Sunday, the girls take their turn in the $75,000 Serena's Song Stakes for three-year-old fillies.
