Is This Going to be the Big One?

Yes, there's a snow storm coming. But will it be as bad as some are predicting? What do YOU think?

If you listen to the weather forecasters and the media you’d think that the end of the world is near. After all, two storms are heading our way, and computer models show that they'll combine into one larger storm. And IF they get together sooner than the computer is predicting, and IF the wind shifts in just the right direction, and IF… You get the picture: we’re talking about the slim possibility of the worse-case scenario.

It’s only been about 100 days since Super Storm Sandy, so maybe we can be forgiven for thinking about worse-case scenarios. Still, the panic shopping at our local supermarkets seems to be way out of hand. I mean, doesn’t everyone still have a big supply of batteries, flashlights and the other items that we bought in early November?

So let’s be realistic. Find your shovel and your sand or salt. Start up your backup generator to make sure it works. Fill up a 5 gallon gas can and put it in your garage next to the generator. C’mon, everyone- let’s calm down a bit. We’ve been through snow storms before. We can do it again and not skip a beat!

That’s my view- what do YOU think?

I had my car repaired at Collex and they were a fantastic collision company to deal with. They wereRead More understanding, professional and after the work you could not tell the car was ever damaged. I highly recommend them. PR
