The Oceanport Sports Foundation's 4th Annual Charity Holiday Wine and Food Tasting Gala will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Branches Catering. Even with all of the problems attendant to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, over 350 tickets have been issued and this year’s event promises to be a wonderful way for the residents of Oceanport, Sea Bright, Monmouth Beach and West Long Branch to get together, have a fun night out and forget about their problems for a while. As always, the OSF has lined up some great restaurants (Brandl, Drew’s Bayshore Bistro, Piccola Italia, Branches Catering and The Lusty Lobster, just to name a few), some fantastic prizes to be raffled off (an iPad, an iPad Mini, two beach cruiser bicycles, a Haskell Day Parterre Box at Monmouth Park and a week at a 6 room condo in Topsail Island in North Carolina, just to name a few) and a veritable boatload of interesting people to talk to as you feast on the food and drink throughout the evening.
The past three years’ Holiday Food and Wine Tasting events raised over $50,000.00 for improvements to athletic fields and facilities within the Borough of Oceanport. Notwithstanding the fact that Hurricane Sandy knocked us all on our heels, we fully expect that this year’s event will be similarly successful.
Tickets are $50.00 each. With the amount and quality of the food and drink available to you during the evening, you’ll never getter a bigger bang for your buck. Tickets are still available, but since there is only a week to go before the event and we will not be selling tickets at the door, you’ll have to download the ticket request form from either the Oceanport Sports Foundation’s Facebook page or from the Oceanport Basjketball Association’s website at www.leaguelineup.com/oba and hand deliver your check to 39 Oneida Avenue in Oceanport. In the alternative, you can e-mail the Oceanport Sports Foundation at email@example.com to arrange for the tickets.
Tickets can also be purchased directly from Oceanport Sports Foundation board members Tom Schiavone, Chris Paglia, Rick Karinja, Jay Coffey, Bob Kelly, Jimmy Gallo, Mike Tober, Dave Gruskos, Jay Briscione and Mike Mahon.
