Oceanport Basketball Assoc. Rec Basketball Registrations Due Nov. 1

Registrations for the Oceanport Basketball Association's 2012-2013 rec basketball league are due by Nov. 1. Children (grades 2 through 8) who reside in Monmouth Beach, Oceanport, or Sea Bright, whether they attend public, private or parochial school or are home schooled, are invited to play. Children will receive a uniform tee shirt to keep and once per week practice instruction. Children in grades 3 through 8 play a 9 game schedule in the Oceanport-Monmouth Beach Recreation League. Each child is guaranteed to play 12 minutes (1/2 regulation time) in each game.

Rookie League teams (2nd graders only, co-ed teams) practice once a week at Wolf Hill School and play one game on the big court at Maple Place at the end of the season.

While the Oceanport Basketball Association does not offer league style, organized basketbatball for Kindergarteners  or 1st graders, clinics for those age groups will be conducted in early 2013.
