VIDEO: Flying History Museums At Monmouth Executive Airport

WWII planes were on display at airport

The annual Wings of Freedom living, and flying, WWII history tour honored the sacrifices made by veterans and educated visitors about our national history, according to the foundation.

The tour showcased two fully restored WWII bombers — a B-24 Liberator and B-17 Flying Fortress — as well as a A P-51C Mustang dual-control fighter at Monmouth Executive Airport over the weekend.

The 1944 vintage Consolidated B-24J Liberator is painted as "Witchcraft", an 8th Air Force bomber that flew a record 130 missions over Europe as part of the 467th BG, according to the foundation.
