Over 1,000 people packed the Red Bank Regional gym for a battle between the Little Silver teachers and the Harlem Wizards last week.

The game, which was a fundraiser for the Little Silver PTO, was held on Nov. 21 and ended in an 85-80 victory for the Wizards.

Little Silver School District Superintendent Carolyn Kossack, Point Road School Principal Pam Albert and 12 other teachers from the district.

Other team members included Officer Martin Scherzinger and Officer Greg Oliva of the Little Silver police department and five rec and travel basketball coaches from Little Silver.  Doug Glassmacher and Jimmy Calano reffed the game and 14 faculty members from Point Road school served as cheerleaders and volunteers.

The contest was broken up by games with audience members and a big Harlem Shake session.

LIz Gearon and "Ship Shape Financial" and All Sports in Ocean were sponsors for the game.

The exact amount raised for the Little Silver PTO is still being calculated, organizers said.
