'Markham Cares Day' is Friday, Jan. 31

Sixth graders will show how they care for the community.

The 5th annual Markham Cares Day is Friday, January 31st. The focus of the day is to promote Cooperation, Assertion, Responsibility, Empathy and Self-control (CARES) among the 6th graders.

Several organizations will be represented at the program to speak to students about these attributes and to discuss the work their organizations do.

The organizations are Wounded Warrior Project, Jason's Dreams for Kids Foundation, Holiday Express, Blue Star Mothers of the Jersey Shore and HABcore.  Students will also be assembling care packages for US troops stationed overseas.
