Every year during the month of November, the United States pays tribute by dedicating a day to the most honorable individuals of all - MILITARY VETERANS - and celebrates Veterans Day as a way of remembering all those who have served the country. On Saturday, November 9 from 12-4 p.m., the Red Oak Diner & Lounge will help in small measure to honor the service and sacrifices made by veterans everywhere with an auto show & car cruise appropriately titled "A Salute To Patriotism." The rain date is Sunday, November 10.
All classis of vehicles including classic, antique, collector, custom, vintage, stock, luxury, import, vintage, exotic, hot rod, muscle, trucks and military transport are encouraged to exhibit for this special event. Prizes will be awarded. The event is a benefit for the non-profit organization HOMES for our TROOPS. Vehicle registration fees are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the show (checks or exact amount please) and will be donated to the organization, which builds homes for combat-wounded and disabled military servicemen and servicewomen at no cost to the veteran. Many people are familiar with the HFOT handicapped-accessible home built for local hero Sergeant Michael Minard of Union Beach.

There is FREE public access to view the vehicles and to enjoy live music by DJ Terrence of 3 In 1 Entertainment. An outdoor barbecue will feature hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage and assorted beverages for purchase.
