$35,000 Down, $15,000 to Go!!

Wow! With just about 4 weeks left in my 10 week fundraiser competition we have just passed the $35,000. dollar mark!

I wanted to give a quick update on the progress of this amazing journey I am on raising as much money as possible for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. If you have been reading my past blogs, I want to thank you so much for your kind words and support of all kinds. I am so touched and moved beyond belief at how this community, even after all of our devastation here from Super Storm Sandy is still reaching in and helping this cause.

I also have to acknowledge a couple of other people. One is WTSO.com (Wines Til Sold Out) Thank you so much for your generous donation. They didn't personally know me but know I am a 'loyal' customer and read the very detailed letter I sent to them and did not hesitate to help me. So sweet! And the other shout out goes to Jonsteen Trees in California who also read my letter and understands that I love their company too and didn't hesitate to get involved. I have experienced this all over the place and I am going to strongly urge all of you reading this to 'do something' bigger than you think you can do and feel the 'amazingness' of the people.

Last Friday the 10th our event at the Brighton Bar in West End was a huge hit and everyone from family, friends, the bands and people that just happened in had a blast! Thank you Greg Macalino, owner of The Brighton Bar and Brighton Bar Records for opening your door to me! And can you imagine the bands donating their Friday night!? Readymade Breakup, Arlan Feiles, The Drive Home and Christina Alessi, you are all amazingly talented and generous!
