Week Ahead in Little Silver and Oceanport

Final school board and council meetings of the year and a special basketball game at RBR to honor Albert Martin dominate this week's calendar.

Monday, Dec. 17

  • The Red Bank Regional High School community will honor the memory of late student Albert Martin at its season-opening basketball game Monday. Martin, who was a senior forward, will have his #34 jersey retired and presented to his mother, Tracy Dixon, at 6:30 p.m. Monday when RBR kicks off the season against Red Bank Catholic at the RBR gym, 101 Ridge Rd., Little Silver.
  • The Little Silver Borough Council will hold its final meeting of the year. The workshop meeting, open to the public, begins at 6:30 p.m. and is followed by the regular meeting at 8 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 18

  • Shore Regional will present its Winter Concert at 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 19

  • The Oceanport Borough Council will meet at 7 p.m. at Maple Place School for its final meeting of 2012.
  • Wolf Hill students will present their Holiday Concert at 7 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 20

  • The Oceanport Board of Education meets for the last time this year at Maple Place School at 7 p.m.
  • The Shore Regional Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 21

  • Little Silver students at Point Road and Markham Place have a 12:30 p.m. dismissal on this final day of school before the long winter break.
  • Oceanport students also have a shortened school day with 12:15 p.m. dismissals.
