Take the Kids to Rio, No Plane Ticket Required

Bridge of Books will hold its fifth annual movie fundraiser on Saturday featuring "Rio."

Get the kids out of the house this Saturday morning and help bring the world of books to New Jersey's underserved children.

The Bridge of Books Foundation is holding its fifth annual movie fundraiser on Feb. 25 with a viewing of Rio at Clearview Cinema in Red Bank.

There will also be a ticket auction, free face painting and temporary tattoos and the opportunity to dedicate a book to a child.

Doors open at 9:15 a.m. and the movie starts at 10 a.m. Tickets are $15 at the door or five tickets for $60. Tickets can also be purchased in advance at River Road Books in Fair Haven.

BoB’s mission is to provide an ongoing source of gently used books to underprivileged and at-risk children throughout New Jersey in order to support literacy efforts and to encourage a love of reading.  They have distributed over 260,000 books since our founding in 2003.
