Road conditions, school closings in Oceanport and Little Silver

Commuter report for the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 18.

, roughly an inch of mixed precipitation fell on Little Silver and Oceanport overnight.

Heavily trafficked passageways like Oceanport Avenue, Willow Drive, Prospect Avenue, Rumson Road, Seven Bridges Road and Monmouth Boulevard have yet to be treated, and because icy, slippery conditions persist, these roads can be treacherous to navigate at times, and would be best avoided until after cleaning clews have finished their work.

Port-Au-Peck Avenue is drivable, but commuters are encouraged to proceed with caution.
