Plenty of locals started off the New Year with a dip in the ocean for the 10th Annual Sons of Ireland Plunge.

The thermometer didn't crack the 40-degree mark on New Year's Day but that didn't keep hundreds of locals from running into the ocean as part of the 10th Annual Sons of Ireland Polar Bear Plunge in Asbury Park.

The bone-chilling event raised money for a number of local charities, including Sea Bright Rising, Lt. Dennis Zilinski Foundation, Impact Oasis, Horizons National and Providence Medical Clinic.

A group of Little Silver dads and their families shared some photos of their intrepid plunge. Were you there, too? Share your photos here on Patch!

I had my car repaired at Collex and they were a fantastic collision company to deal with. They wereRead More understanding, professional and after the work you could not tell the car was ever damaged. I highly recommend them. PR
