Maple Place Warming Center to Move Operations

Residents who need assistance, rest, food and warmth can go to Port au Peck Firehouse.

According to an alert from Oceanport Emergency Management, shelter operations at Maple Place will move today to the Port au Peck firehouse. The move is to prepare the school for students who will return to class on Monday.

The alert said residents can expect the same amenities at the firehouse that they enjoyed at Maple Place.

Also Oceanport Methodist Church is organizing workers to help clean residents' homes. Go to the firehouse to sign up for a clean-up crew to help you at your house.

We finally got it right. We had to wait until people were complaining about the freezing cold when they decided to erect tents and move people into the Monmouth Park parking lot. There is not to much warmth when all that is seperating you from the outside is a thin piece of plastic. So thank you Asbury Park Press for your article yesterday with a family who were moved into "Camp Freedom" In today's APP they got it right!! The displaced people were moved into Monmouth Park Racetrack, with heat and bathrooms and a Cafe to go into to eat. So why couldn't they think of this in the first place, good old common sense, that's all it takes.

I had my car repaired at Collex and they were a fantastic collision company to deal with. They wereRead More understanding, professional and after the work you could not tell the car was ever damaged. I highly recommend them. PR
