Little Silver OEM: Move Cars From Flood-Prone Areas

The borough's office of emergency management issued a storm warning to residents on Wednesday and recommended cars in flood-prone areas get moved to the train station.

A message from Little Silver Office of Emergency Management:

A winter coastal storm will affect our area for the remainder of today through Friday. Wind gusts up to 60 MPH, tidal flooding and snow of 2-4 inches are possible.

Coastal Flood Watches have been issued. Moderate tidal flooding is expected along the Atlantic Coast and Raritan Bay, with pockets of major flooding possible, especially along the NJ coast.

High tides at the Gooseneck Bridge will be at 5:16pm today, Thursday at 5:48pm and 6:23pm, and Friday at 6:53pm and 7:26pm.

Residents in flood prone areas should monitor weather reports and move vehicles to higher ground if necessary. Residents can park their vehicles in the back of the train station parking lot off of Ayers Lane.

Do not park any vehicles in the Point Road School parking lot, school is expected to be in session as of now, and the lot is to be utilized by the school.
