Flood Watch

The National Weather Service is forecasting 2 to 4 inches of rainfall through Wednesday night, which may lead to flooding.

Coastal residents are advised not to leave their vehicles at locations prone to tidal flooding, such as certain portions of Seven Bridges Road.

The NWS also advises not driving your vehicle through flood waters, as the water may be deeper than you think it is, potentially leading to costly repairs.

Flooding would begin in low-lying and poor drainage areas, followed by quick responding creeks and streams, then followed by larger rivers, said the flood alert issued Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m.
