Eyewitness News Hits the Beach at Little Monmouth

The local ABC news station checked out Memorial Day action at the Monmouth Beach Bathing Pavilion on Monday.

Memorial Day at the beach along the Jersey Shore this year was already exciting enough: We had pristine weather, the ocean was just rough enough for little ones on their Boogie boards to get a little thrill each time they rode a wave in and our neighbor had a bottle full of a jalapeno-infused tequila concoction.

Just as the gang was digging its collective toes into the sand of prime real estate along the water's edge at Little Monmouth on Monday we noticed a news crew a few yards away and then spied the familiar Eyewitness News logo on a microphone.

Much to everyone's excitement in the vicinity, New Jersey Correspondent Jen Maxfield stopped by the crowded beach at Monmouth Beach Bathing Pavilion during prime beach hours on Monday afternoon to ask beachgoers how they enjoyed spending their holiday weekend. The segment aired during the 6 p.m. news broadcast on Monday.

own Tara Fitzpatrick was one of the folks Maxfield interviewed and said she loved spending the holiday with friends and family, of course, at the beach.
