5 Things You Need to Know Today in Little Silver and Oceanport: May 31

I'm in the throes of Prom-a, so you just need to steer clear of the crazy 'til it's passed.

Good Karma: Aside from a little fog anticipated early this morning, today looks to be bright and sunny and warm, with temperatures right around 80 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. But because my prom anxiety threat level has reached the orange level, I can only focus on Friday's 20 percent possibility of rain. I can't even imagine how nutty I will become when this girl gets married. It will be statues buried upside down in the ground all around our house.

Sign o' the Times: Did you see that the s looking to keep with the times and create an area for folks to sit and work on their laptops? Okay, they also would like to entice teens with a new place to hang out, too, but I'm looking to get away from my teens so am down playing that neat new feature they hope to incorporate through funds they rais from their annual Little Silver Friends of the Library Appeal.

Girls Night: Are you and your girlfriends looking to get out later tonight but haven't read a book and don't want to hang out in a bar? Check out in Little Silver. You can bring some wine, chat with your gals and make some art to bring home and hang on your walls. Badda-boom!

Talk Talk: There was so much back-and-forth on Facebook over the that I couldn't resist creating a poll for folks to take a stand on where they, like stand. So, as of about 11 p.m. Wedensday, the votes were tippig towards those who support the new ordinance. What do you think?

Like Patch: I can't stand it and am hoping that you can help. Wouldn't it be fabuous if nine of you hopped on over to the Little Silver Oceanport Facebook page and just clicked the little "Like" button and break the 400 mark? And it will help take the edge all the Prom-a I've been experiencing. Plus, it will bring us that much closer.

I didn't know that about the LS library. If fact, I don't think I even knew where it was until now, being an Oceanport gal. I think I will be camping out there this summer. Working at home is impossible with three kids and working at Starbucks leaves me poor and jittery.

Huzzah! I've a renewed faith in humanity now that you nine kind souls have pushed the LSOP Facebook page over the 400 mark. Any more and I might have to start going back to church.
