Get More, Give More

Tis the season for giving, and many shoppers seeking a store that offers fair trade gifts have discovered Ten Thousand Villages, Red Bank.

The Broad Street store, a part of national chain, is a non-profit, whose mission is to create opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income by bringing their products and stories to our markets through long-term fair trading relationships.

Products include jewelry, soaps, scarves, ornaments, pottery, African drums, coffee, tea, chocolates, Haitan art, kitchen products and more from around the world and all fair trade.  Products are from diverse culturesranging from Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.

Today, Monday, December 23, is the LAST DAY to save on all regular priced items. The more customers spend, the more they save.  Further, all holiday cards, ornaments and decor are on sale.

The store, located at 69 Broad Street, is open from 10am to 9pm.  Any questions, call (732) 576-1621.

It's a great opportunity to get more and give more.  Product sales help pay for food, education, healthcare and housing for artisans who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed.
