Little Silver Liquors Changes Hands

The long-time family business has been purchased by a Little Silver resident.

, the downtown staple since 1944, has been sold.

According to a public notice posted on APP.com Saturday, an application has been submitted to the borough to transfer the liquor license from the long-time family owned business to a new owner.

The sole shareholder, officer and director of Little Silver Liquors, Robert Ribustelli of Long Branch has transferred his entire interest to Little Silver resident William G. Kenney, according to the notice.

The shop will now operate under the name Little Silver Bottle Shop.

The notice indicates that the shop, located at 497 Prospect Ave., will continue to sell liquor, wine and beer.

Patch stopped by Sunday afternoon and noticed work benches set up outside the store alongside a big dumpster.
