Get Your Spook On At Halloween Express

Halloween Express on Route 36 in Eatontown is prepared to transform the residents local residents into their favorite characters, whether spooky, heroic or funny!

Driving home from Oceanport’s towards the Garden State Parkway, it became clear to me that something spooky was going on at 57 Route 36 West in Eatontown. Having just opened their doors on September 12th, Halloween Express is ready for the upcoming holiday, fully stocked with tricks and treats.

With the owner of the Halloween superstore having two other locations (451 Brick Blvd. in Brick and 4235 Route 9 North in Freehold), Cassandra Carlstrom, a store manager at the Eatontown location, explained that it took approximately one week to prepare each store for its opening. With the vast amount of merchandise they carry, building a store this quickly is no easy task!

Joe, the owner of these three Halloween Express locations, stated “Halloween is bigger than Christmas. Families come in and buy different costumes for the daytime and nighttime.”

Halloween is also surpassing Christmas in the way that home owners decorate their homes. “I’ve helped people decorate for their parties,” added Joe. “In addition, we have 14 promotional items that are 50 percent off every year.” One of these items offered this year is a life-sized clown that was marked down to $150 from $300.

What is expected to be the big costumes for this year? Without hesitation, Cassandra belted out “The Smurfs.” Agreeing with Cassandra’s choice, Joe added “Pirates Of The Caribbean. There are threenew costumes in this category for women.”
