Final Little Silver Gazebo Concert Set For Aug. 18

The Little Silver Markham Place gazebo concert series will conclude on Sunday Aug. 18 when the John Luckenbil Pops Band hits the stage at 7 p.m.

The John Luckenbil Pops Band is comprised of 20 top professional musicians from around the state including several Luckenbil family members and numerous Red Bank Regional High School graduates. 

The band plays a variety of musical styles including broadway musicals, classical, jazz, dixieland, patriotic marches, soloists, and various rhythm numbers .        

Their weekend performance will include songs from Jersey Boys, Grease, Music Man, Big Band Favorites, to the Stars and Stripes.  The second half of the program will include some performances by Little Silver School District students.

The band is conducted by Shrewsbury resident John Luckenbill Jr. whose father was once the band director at RBR.  Luckenbill Jr. grew up in Little Silver where he went to Markham Place School and attended RBR.
