On Thursday July 7, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. The Sirius Orchestra which is a 12 piece horn band led by Musical Director / Little Silver resident Rick Van Loon will be serving up some of the funkiest music known to mankind on the Boardwalk in Pier Village. Sirius will be performing hits from the likes of Earth, Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Rick James, Motown and Marvin Gaye to name just a few. Band members have starred on Broadway and performed with world renowned artists such as The Rolling Stones and Ray Charles and their lead vocalists was nominated for a 2010 Grammy Award.
