Dee Snider Shows Up in Oceanport, Tells Young Musicians to "Parlay"

The Twisted Sister lead singer brought his daughter to Sunday's Warped Tour at Monmouth Park and spoke about the key to longevity in the music industry

Famous for leading 80's hair metal act Twisted Sister through hits "I Wanna Rock" and "We're Not Gonna Take It," Dee Snider arrived in Oceanport Sunday to bring his 14-year-old daughter Cheyenne to Warped Tour and impart a little wisdom.

Young musicians and journalists gathered around as Snider talked about the state of the music industry with and Buddy Neilsen of the Ridgewood band Senses Fail.

In the above video, Snider tells his audience the key he's found to longevity in the music industry is to parlay early successes into further projects and diversify his creative efforts.

Dee Snider has to be one of the more well-spoken icons out there. When I managed China White, we had the pleasure of opening up for his band Widowmaker twice. He was always a class act.

I had my car repaired at Collex and they were a fantastic collision company to deal with. They wereRead More understanding, professional and after the work you could not tell the car was ever damaged. I highly recommend them. PR
