Little Silver Teen Named NJ's Face of American Diabetes Association

Jack McMahon was the top fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association.

Little Silver resident and Red Bank Regional High School student Jack McMahon was named the Face of the American Diabetes Association in New Jersey for August, according to NJ.com.

McMahon, 15, returned to high school a week after he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and won second place in a wrestling tournament.

He also started Jack’s Tracks to raise funds for the American Diabetes Association’s Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes event on Oct. 20 in Plainsboro, NJ.com reported.

McMahon was the top fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association, raising more than $1,100 in just one month, NJ.com said.
