The first of the new townhomes being built across the street from the Little Silver Train Station will open this spring.

"The community, which offers the only new townhomes in prestigious Little Silver, will open for sales this spring, with an anticipated model grand opening in late spring," Mazin Kalian of Kalian Companies said in a release.

The community, called Carriage Gate at Little Silver, will feature 31 2-story townhomes ranging from 2,378 to 2,960 square feet of living space, plus full basements and two-car garages. Pre-construction pricing will begin at $579,900, according to Kalian Companies.

Little Silver Mayor Robert Neff has said the condos were originally going to be age-restricted, but that a law passed by former Governor Jon Corzine allowed the builders to come back to the borough to have the age restriction lifted.
