The Newcomers Club of Rumson, Fair Haven, Little Silver and Shrewsbury Raise More Than $6,500 for Sea Bright Rising

Every year, The Newcomers Club of Rumson, Fair Haven, Little Silver and Shrewsbury, a social and charitable organization that welcome residents in the four towns, assists a charitable project within the community to support, through fundraising efforts. This year The Club has chosen Sea Bright Rising as its 2013-2014 charity. Sea Bright Rising is a non-profit organization devoted to the relief of the displaced residents and general recovery of the town of Sea Bright as a result of the devastation created by Hurricane Sandy.

The Club hosts three main fundraising events throughout the year that are open to the public. These events include, Touch a Truck, A Toast to the Town Wine Tasting and Lucky Name. 100% of the proceeds from all three events will be donated to Sea Bright Rising. So far this year, Touch A Truck and A Toast to the Town have brought in over $6,000 for Sea Bright Rising.

Mark your calendars now for our biggest fundraising event of the year, Lucky Name scheduled for Saturday, March 22, 2014 at EvenTide Grille in Sea Bright. It is a cocktail reception with hors d'oeuvres, music, chance and silent auctions. Visit our website at newcomersclubinc.com or contact one of our co-chairs for the event, Lizz Slavin (elizabeth.slavin@gmail.com) or Rachel Munger (rachel.stellar@gmail.com) for more information.
