Monmouth Medical Center Hosts “When Less is More: Facts About Minimally Invasive Robotic Surgery”

Robot-assisted surgery performed by experienced surgeons offers many benefits over traditional “open” surgery, including a shorter hospital stay, decreased risk of blood loss, minimal scarring and less recovery time. On Thursday, November 7, the Institute for Robotic Surgery at Monmouth Medical Center will host an informational session titled, “When Less is More: Facts About Minimally Invasive Robotic Surgery from the Experts,” at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, located at 700 Hope Road in Tinton Falls. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and presentations begin at 6:30 p.m.

This free event will also feature health screenings for cholesterol, blood pressure and body mass index, door prizes and dinner. Experts from Monmouth Medical Center will discuss robotic-assisted hysterectomy and prostate, kidney, gall bladder, abdominal and colorectal surgery, along with innovative new partial knee resurfacing and total hip replacement robotic surgeries – the newest minimally invasive options for knee and hip pain, available locally only at Monmouth Medical Center.
