Leading the innovative concepts will be the popular baseball 50/70 division for 13 year old players and plays on an intermediate size field offering a transition from a small field to the very large major league size field.

For the first time ever, there will be a baseball division for ages 14-16 years old which will include high school players.

Registration will be through Little Silver Recreation from Jan. 1-Jan. 31. For more information contact DougGlassmacher@gmail.com

I remember the old days in the 70's. Little League was 11-12 years. Pony League was 13-15. Ed Carlton League was 16-18. These programs werer very successful in their day. Little Silver alone had about 8 Little League teams in town. There was 3 Pony League teams and 1 Ed Carlton. I was proud that there was no mercy rule in Little League. You could lose 30-0 and nobody's feelings were hurt.
