When Father Christmas arrived at Sickles Market last Sunday, he didn't need to bring any presents. iPlay America will open its doors to the public on Friday, Nov. 11 at 11:11 a.m. However, members of the local business community, officials and media were given a sneak peak at the self-styled indoor amusement park on Tuesday. The 115,000-square-foot facility, located on Schanck Road in Freehold Township, features rides, arcade games, restaurants, and a banquet center run by a sister corporation, Encore. With all proceeds going to RBR athletics, more than 125 people showed up at the Fair Haven Knights of Columbus last Saturday to enjoy an evening filled with great food, great music, great friends, and a dart tournament. Highlights included the 50/50 raffle and gift baskets for everyone! Bill Bogdon made killer pulled pork sliders, and Nancy Swift supplied her famous cookies decked out in RBR colors. Bill Plageman provided the music for the evening, while the committee transformed an ordinary room into Buc Pride, representing lots of RBR sports.
After the air filled in on the Shrewsbury River on Monday, the races began. There were Optis, Lasers, Comets and Sanderlings. Everyone was looking for some clean air.

The first ever Scivention Convention was held at Point Road School on Thursday night. Students from 1st through 4th grade presented either an experiment or invention. After several months of working on the projects they were judged for various attributes such as having a defined hypothesis, clear procedures and presentation of data. Judging by the enthusiastic response of both students and parents, the Scivention Convention was a huge success.
The long awaited signs of spring have arrived. The towns of Little Silver and Oceanport are bursting with the season's vibrant colors.
A good crowd , fast action, and cool temps made for a great day of racing at Monmouth Park.
After a day of touring some of Little Silver's finest kitchens and homes, the Little Silver PTO Kitchen Tour rounded out with a cocktail party at the beautiful home of Chirs and Linda Smith on Paag Lane. The party was catered by Kim Ramin's "Et al" and band "The Havens" rocked it out on the covered deck.
Drive too fast down Rumson Road through Little Silver and you just might miss the raised wooden beds and wire trellises that define the front of Wendy Weiner's house where she is known as the Front Yard Farmer.
