LS Men’s Softball will sponsor its annual “one pitch” on Saturday, Sept. 29, (rain date: Sunday, Sept. 30), with the opening ceremony starting at 1 p.m. at the Library Field. 

This year’s fundraiser tournament will be in honor of recently deceased Little Silver Councilman Jon Bitman.  The event will benefit Bitman’s family with a goal of raising money to assist with tuition for Jon’s daughter, Cori, who is a sophomore at Lehigh University. 

Children’s activities and entertainment are planned creating a community family day event.  Bands performing will be the McCarthy Dalton Band, Rick Dill & Rich Scott and Friends including a special guest appearance by blues singer, Susan Haugenes.

Hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken will be grilled by Chef Peter Roskowinski. Lemonade and Ralph’s Italian Ice will also be served.
