The Intro to Sanskrit workshop gives you the opportunity to tap into the unique and ancient language of the yoga. Sanskrit is known to be the ‘sacred language’ of Hinduism and Buddhism. Widely used as a ceremonial language in Hindu religious rituals today, Sanskrit is also the language of many mantras used in Buddhist texts.

In Intro to Sanskrit you will learn pronounce the sounds associated with the Sanskrit letters, or aksharas. Each sound will be explored and explained, and will help students deepen their understanding of words commonly heard throughout a yoga practice. This is a two day workshop, held on Saturday, January 28th, and Sunday, January 29th from 1pm-3pm.
