What Would You Improve in the Little Silver-Oceanport Area in 2013?

If you could make a New Year's resolution for the area, what would it be?

More than 45 percent of Americans make a resolution every year, according to statisticbrain.com. Some people vow to live a healthier lifestyle, others promise to spend more time with family, and many say they will try to save money.

As millions of Americans make resolutions to improve their lives, what could we do right here to make it an even better place to live?

What is on your Little Silver-Oceanport wish list? What is one thing you would improve in 2013?

It's time to consolidate /merge towns ....it's just getting to expensive for each town to have 20 25 police captain,LT and such ....same goes with schools people are having fewer kids ,something must be done to cut expenses ,Incomes are going down ,kids can't get jobs ....small towns will become obsolete ,why wait for home values to plunge because of too high taxes ...happy new year all

Maintain the trees better at schools, there are numerous unsafe tree hazards at the schools unaddressed since Sandy ( large, heavy hanging and caught limbs etc). Just call a tree service once a year to inspect them if the staff can't keep up.

Put something in the old Giftwinds space on Prospect. It has been vacant too long and makes the area look blighted.

Fix the corner at the LS train Station Light - in reference to the vacant Exxon station for many years and the lot across the street with an old empty gas station and the old Wicker Store also vacant for many years. The sidewalks are also dangersous for runners. A Duncan Donuts would be good and maybe a Hess Gas station with reasonable gas prices - unlike the Citgo that now exists.
