UPDATE: Still No Post Office for Oceanport
The borough's administrator says the building is ready and waiting for the USPS to install equipment.
Another week is about to end and still no post office for Oceanport, according to the borough's administrator at Thursday's council meeting.
Kim Jungfer, Oceanport's clerk and adminstrator, said on March 7 that the reopening of the East Main Street facility remained a "day-to-day" situation.
The building has been rehabilitated since it incurred damage during Sandy, but the United States Postal Service still needs to install equipment to get the post office back up and running.
