Update: New Boro Lot Moving Toward Completion

Little Silver's new municipal lot should be open for parking by the end of the month.

Soccer season might be winding down, but soon fans attending games at borough and library fields will have more places to park in Little Silver.

The new municipal lot alongside borough hall should be paved and temporarily striped and ready for parking by the end of next week, according to Councilman Donald Galante. "We will let the lot settle over the winter and the final top coat and striping will be completed in the spring," he told Patch in an e-mail.

At Monday's borough council meeting, Galante said that the new borough building, which will provide restroom facilities, storage and a concession area, is close to completion as well.

He said the PODS storing items on the property will be removed once the police department and recreation committee move their equipment into the new structure.
