Tell Us: Just How Hot Is It?
With an excessive heat warning in effect, what are you doing to keep cool?
Hello and welcome to summer.
It's that time of the year again, officially, and greeting Northern Monmouth County residents on this first day of summer is a heatwave accompanied by an official excessive heat warning from the state.
With temperatures expected to reach as high as the mid-90's and the heat index reading even higher, residents are urged to take precautions to stay cool and out of direct sun. Truth be told, the best place to be right now is somewhere with air conditioning and an internet connection so you can keep up dated with Patch.
Check out the video from last summer for a classic look at the perils of heat, and tell us what you're doing to keep cool in the comments below.
Stay cool!

Hilarious. But to all the heat haters I say, it's better than snow.

Amen! We were lucky with snow this year, I don't think we'll be so luck with our electric bills this summer...

I agree! I would rather to take refuge in the air conditioning or in the pool than have to shovel my car out!

I'd take 3 feet of snow over the heat ANY day of the week! to each his own! :)

Hot enough for me to get 2nd degree burns on my feet from walking in the sand! And I had my flip flops on! Brutal! OUCH!

Terri - That's awful. I hope you heal soon. That's a good excuse to go hide somewhere dark and air conditioned today.
