Red Bank Catholic 47, Red Bank 0: The Caseys picked up where they left off in 2011 season.
The top-ranked team in the Shore Conference last year beat the host Buccaneers where they were the top team in the Shore behind the rushing of Jesse Flaherty and Michael Cordova, who combined for three rushing touchdowns. Quarterback Patrick Toomey passed for two more in the shutout.
Long Branch 18, Manasquan 13: Joe Fittin rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown, and quarterback Connor Grogan threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Mark Schatzman, but the Warriors were unable to hold off the visiting Green Wave.
Joscil Jackson rushed for 174 yards and a touchdown, Avery Griffin passed for a score and Brett Roach had a 71-yard kickoff return for a touchdown for Long Branch.
Point Boro 27, Monmouth 14: Quarterback Chris Oliphant rushed for 70 yards and three touchdowns and Ryan Prout rushed for a score as the Panthers downed the host Golden Falcons in Tinton Falls. Kurt VanBenschoten had 10 tackles on defense for Point Boro.
Quarterback Jeff Farrah ran for a touchdown for Monmouth but missed the second half after being taken to the hospital for severe dehydration, according to allshoremedia.net.
Colts Neck 14, Toms River East 7: Mike Campbell's 8-yard touchdown pass to Giovanni Zefferrino with less than two minutes left in the game lifted the host Cougars to victory over the Raiders. Campbell also passed for a 42-yard touchdown to Tim Vangelas.
Mike Gudzak scored on a 70-yard touchdown run for Toms River East.
Toms River North-Howell: The game between the host Mariners and the Rebels that was scheduled for Saturday night was postponed to Sunday at 1 p.m. due to the predicted storms.

How does anyone compete with RBC? They recruit like a College..They should dominate most teams...RBC needs to play against the larger populated schools..

A school voucher system would put a end to this ......why should a taxpayer be forced to send his kid to the school his town decides where he must go ...we pay the highest property taxes in the country and parents can't send there own children where they think is best !

RBC is private...I do understand voucher system..Imagine trying to figure out how that would work..Kaos. You would have waiting lines for some schools and other schools empty...

RBC is not proving anything by beating up on a School like RBR that is 99% populated by three towns,,,How can anyone compete with that make up? Cream of the crop from Monmouth Cty goes there...I just wonder how successful the RBC coaches would be at RBR , Shore, Monmouth Reg etc...
