There were traditional holiday jingles, dreams of lots of snow and Coldplay at Point Road School's 2012 Holiday Concert Thursday night.

The third and fourth grade students, slicked and sparkly in blazers and tights, sang their hearts out under the direction of music teacher Eric Clark and accompanied by the very able eighth grader Griffin Perry on piano and Markham Place band director Stephanie Bennett lending a helping hand.

The chorus gave rousing renditions of "Spirit of Hanukkah" and The Polar Express's "Hot Chocolate" and slowed it down to recognize those still grappling with the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy with Coldplay's "Fix You."
