Oceanport Resident Alleged Victim of Credit Card Fraud

The suspect allegedly made over 15 transactions at ATM machines in West Long Branch and Eatontown over a three-day period.

 

A man is accused of taking an Oceanport resident's credit card and using it 15 times to withdraw a total of $430 from ATM machines throughout the area within a three-day period.

Andre L. Felicio, of 18 Dennis Place, West Long Branch is accused of stealing a credit card that was given to him initially to make a $40 purchase, according to court documents. Felicio, 23, allegedly kept the card and used it at ATM machines in West Long Branch and Eatontown between June 15 and June 18 to withdraw $430.

The subject then allegedly attempted to destroy the bank card, according to the report.

Following an investigation, Oceanport Police charged Felicio with theft by unlawful taking, fraudulent use of credit cards and tampering with physical evidence.

Felicio is scheduled to appear in Oceanport Municipal Court on Aug. 1 on the matter.
