Obituary: Gerard "Gerry" Deverin, Little Silver Resident and Monmouth University Grad, 48

A funeral for the Little Silver resident, who died March 1, will be held on Tuesday.

 

Gerard "Gerry" Deverin, 48, an avid lacrosse player and Chapel Beach Club member, died on March 1, according to Legacy.com.

Deverin lived in Navesink before moving to Little Silver in 1995, according to the report, and was a fan of Notre Dame, the Jets and the Rangers and was a graduate of Monmouth University.

Surviving is his wife, Lori Deverin; daughter, Kathleen and his sons, Peter and Ryan; his parents Bernard and Claire Deverin of Red bank; his brothers, Bernard and wife Midge of Westport CT, and Sean and wife Michele of Fair Haven , his sisters, Charlene Deverin Kirtley and husband Robin of New York City, and Eileen Deverin Radovich and husband Harry of Locust; his mother-in-law, Betty Andrews of Kearny; sister in law, Linda and husband John Giordiano of Belleville, and brother-in-law Larry and wife Chrissy Andrews of Kearny. 

A funeral mass will be held for Deverin at the Church of the Nativity on Tuesday, March 2 at 11 a.m. Internment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Gerard's name to The Deverin Family Trust, C/O of Sean G. Deverin ESQ., 160 White Road, Suite 204, Little Silver NJ 07739.
