UPDATE: No Injuries After Car Flips on Port Au Peck [VIDEO]
A mother and her 10-year-old son were taken to the hospital following an accident in Oceanport Monday afternoon.
A woman and her 10-year-old son were taken to Riverview Medical Center on Monday after the SUV they were riding in was overturned following a collision with another vehicle on Monday in Oceanport.
The black Chrysler crossover and a silver station wagon collided at the intersection of Branchport Avenue and Port-au-Peck Avenue around 3:30 p.m.
The husband of the woman driving the SUV, who asked not to be identified, told Patch that he was on the phone with his son when the accident occurred. He said they had to crawl out the windows of the overturned vehicle after the car flipped onto its roof.
Officer Daniel Petrucelli told Patch at the scene that passengers in the SUV did not sustain serious injury. They were treated at the hospital and released around 8 p.m. Monday.
The mother and son, who live in Red Bank, remained sore and shaken up on Tuesday.
