Lt. Governor of New Jersey Kim Guadagno made a special visit to Red Bank Regional Wednesday morning to meet with the national champions of cyberdefense, the Academy of Information Technology's Team Mantrap.
Guadagno met with the students and their teacher, Little Silver's Mandy Galante, in a conference room in the Information Technology wing, where they discussed the CyberPatriot III competition, how their classes prepared them for it, and opportunities available to them in the state of New Jersey.
A cyberpatriot in her own right, Guadagno also talked to the students about prosecuting David L. Smith, creator of the "Melissa" computer worm, while she oversaw the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice from 1998 to 2000.
Video to come later today.

We, as a nation and individually, need all the help these kids can give us. There's a constant onslaught against the web and our interests.

It is wonderful to see such bright and focused young people who will rise to help our country defend itself! Coach Galante has taught and mentored these boys to know what they need to succeed!
Good job RBR and Coach Galante!
