Little Silver House Knocked Down to Make Way for Parking Lot
All that's left Friday morning is a lot of dirt.
Little Silver Library Director Anita O'Brien said it felt like "an earthquake" on Thursday when constructions workers knocked down a nearby building to make way for an expanded municipal parking lot.
The borough-owned building at 466 Prospect Ave. was torn down May 24 as work begins to connect a driveway from Prospect Avenue to an existing parking lot and the construction of a storage/restroom/concession structure that will be close to borough fields.
By Friday, there was still some rumbling but all the rubble had been removed and a lone construction vehicle worked atop the big mound of dirt next to borough hall.

Once again the concerns of the citizens of this town are ignored just like the temporary traffic lights on Branch Avenue. We are becoming so much more urban it is ridiculous.
