Little Silver Hires Special Services Supervisor for Schools
JoAnn Riley starts Aug. 1 and will receive $105,287 in salary for the position.
The Little Silver Board of Education approved the hiring of JoAnn Riley to serve as the district's supervisor of special services at its July 25 board meeting.
Riley will begin the $105,287 salaried position on Aug. 1 pending release from her current role as supervisor of pupil special services for Edison Township, according to Little Silver Schools Superintendent Dr. Carolyn Kossack.
"I enthusiastically endorse her to the board," Kossack said of Riley's qualifications for the position.
The superintendent said the district advertised for the position twice after the first round of resumes failed to produce qualified candidates. The interview committee was a combination of teachers, child study team members, administrators, board members and parents, said Kossack.
Riley will replace Michael Maschi, who left the district after three years to become the director of special services for Lacey Township, said Kossack.
