LAST CHANCE: Free Kids Running Clinic Takes Off Monday
RTC Training is offering a one-hour clinic on Monday to help kids train for the upcoming Little Silver 5K.
In life, very few things are free. So when you hear that there's a one-hour running clinic being held to help kids prepare for an upcoming 5K at no cost, it's hard to pass up the offer.
RTC Training, in conjunction with Little Silver 5K organizers, will hold a running clinic on Monday, Sept. 24 for kids from kindergarten to eighth grade. The clinic will run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Sickles Park to help kids get in shape for the Oct. 7 race.
According to an e-mail from RTC Training:
This clinic is designed to help prepare the kids for the 5k or 1 mile and provide a fun, positive environment, while developing fitness, self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. Campers will participate in warm up and cool down sessions, drills, fitness games, and races. This camp is offered by former All Shore, All State and All East Runner Robert Cavanaugh, director of RTC Training.
