Keansburg Man Charged With Concealing Daughter's Remains

Police arrested Dennis Adler, 57, after finding human remains in a crawlspace of his former home.

Police have identified human remains found in a foreclosed Keansburg home as Kimberly Adler, whose father, Dennis Adler, 57 is now charged with second degree disturbing of human remains.

According to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, police responded to a home on Campview Place in Keansburg after reports of human remains came from a cleaning service in the home.

"Upon arrival at the scene, Keansburg Police confirmed the discovery of skeletal remains at the location and contacted the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, and a joint investigation was immediately undertaken," according to a news release from the MCPO.

The body was identified through dental records as Kimberly Adler, who the examiner believes was 23 at the time of death. A definitive time or cause of death has not been released. The young woman was never reported missing, according to prosecutors.

Police said Dennis Adler began concealing his daughter's remains in 2008, transferring her to the crawlspace. According to state property records, Adler sold the home in 2008. The home foreclosed last year.

Adler is being held in the Monmouth County Jail on $100,000 with no 10 percent option. His nitial appearance is scheduled today at 1:30 p.m. at the Monmouth County Courthouse before Judge Thomas J. Scully, P.C.J.

What's up with this? No extended Family? No friends? So sad that no one ever noticed or cared enough to ask about this poor girl.
