For some reason, we're always on the lookout for that perfect travel bag, something that will hold all our newspapers and magazines on the flight and our sunbathing essentials once we get to our destination. We are a sucker for these preppy sandals by Stephen Bonanno, which we were told by a very reliable source are the "original" summer footwear for prepsters. We are happy we no longer have little girl feet that we'd have to get matching monogrammed sandals for and can thus concentrate on ourselves. Spring break is right around the corner and has got some of us not only frantically exercising but also thinking about freshening up our warm weather wardrobes.

Patch took a stroll through Little Silver and found an unfortunate amount of items we are now convinced are mandatory for our upcoming trip to more southern climes.

We are of the belief that a girl of a certain age can't own too many beach coverups, which we found in spades at Byford & Mills, or beach hats, like the fabulous ones we saw at Sickles Market, Vera Bradley bags, and the huge selection at the Woman's Exchange, or an arm full colorful bracelets, spied on the counter at Church Street Home & Garden.

Don't forget the sunscreen, mints, Dramamine, deodorant ... better get to the Little Silver Family Pharmacy and stock up on all your travel lotions and potions.

And just to complicate matters, the experts at the Rumson-Fair Haven Patch dug up some goodies to consider for your trip, including some great beach reading at River Road Books.
