FEMA Rebuilding Specialists Stationed at Eatontown Lowe's Today

Specialists will be on hand through Saturday, Jan. 19

FEMA rebuilding specialists will be stationed at the Eatontown Lowe’s, 118 Route 35, today through Saturday to offer advice to residents whose homes or businesses were damaged by Hurricane Sandy.

This is the only location where the rebuilding specialists will be stationed in Monmouth County.

The FEMA personnel will be on hand from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on all three days.

According to a release from FEMA, the free service also offers information and publications on topics such as:

  • Ridding a home of mold and mildew.
  • Understanding flood- and wind-resistant building methods.
  • Knowing the benefits of flood insurance.
  • Elevating or anchoring utilities.

For additional information, visit fema.gov/SandyNJ and click on “Mitigation Resources.”

FEMA has also noted that its Disaster Recovery Center on Union Avenue in Long Branch will be closed on Martin Luther King Day on Monday, Jan. 21.

Business recovery centers are staffed by SBA customer service representatives who provide help to businesses who suffered losses caused by Hurricane Sandy.
