The cafetorium at Maple Place School was transformed on Tuesday from a place to run around or eat a sandwich to a gallery showcasing colorful pieces of art.
The Oceanport School District held its district-wide art show and academic enrichment presentation on May 21 and Patch ran over to check it out.
We loved the self portraits, some super-sparkly fish and if we're not mistaken, a really great rendition of the immortal Bart Simpson. We especially liked that you could stop and get a tattoo or your face painted and become a walking work of art.
Check out our photo gallery to see what the kids have been working on all year.

I have to say I am a huge fan of the peacocks and the sparkly fish. Kudos to Mrs. Donohoe!

I am partial to the self-portraits. I love seeing how kids see themselves.
