Credit Cards Accepted at Little Silver Bottle Shop: Priceless

Life just got a little easier for those of us who have a hard time holding onto cash in our wallets.

If you are like me, you have a hard time keeping cash in your wallet. Somehow, the green slips of paper that the ATM spit out seem to vanish overnight, while trusty plastic credit cards are as ever present and long lasting as, well, plastic.

So good news then for those of us who never had the greenbacks in our pockets to pick up cocktail fixings at the liquor store in town, which only took cash and checks.

Until now.

We were thrilled to stop into the Little Silver Bottle Shop on Friday and find a credit card reader just waiting to swipe our plastic and let us bring home a bottle of wine for the weekend.

Owner Bill Kenney said the system was up and running on Wednesday and we can attest that we now have weekend cocktails, and 30 days to pay it all off.

I am so happy they now accept credit cards, and went in hoping the prices would be different as well...still are much higher than any area liquor stores (even Foodtown) I want to support our local merchants, but $16 for a $10-12 dollar bottle of wine is TOO much!!

Michele - We're working on getting the appropriate data into our new systems (a huge job!) and when we're finished there will be price adjustments. Bill

I love paying as little as possible for anything, especially my spirits. But it is also important to support our local merchants, and while I look forward to the price adjustments, a premium for convenience (more convenient than ever--credit cards, hours, Sunday!) is certainly reasonable.
